Our Story

Palapas is a Spanish word used to describe a thatched-roof tiki hut that provides shelter from the sun and a cool place to have some cold drinks and a good time. Since 2014, our family-owned restaurant’s been just that, and our community loves dining with us for the good food we’re serving and the friendly atmosphere we’ve created. Whether you stop in for street tacos at lunch time or a margarita after work, you’ll be greeted by a friendly and familiar face. It’s likely you’ll even be seated by our owner, Oziel, himself!

Oziel (Ozzie) Rodriguez, owner of Palapas Bar & Grill restaurants. Palapas means hut, and our goal is to serve the best quality food to our guests. We are proud of our service, our food, and our offerings.

Palapas Bar and Grill #2 recently opened its doors in Brown Bridge Hwy. also in the city of Cumming in the new Walmart shopping center.
